Office of Education for many years, was recently ap pointed as chief of the newly established adult education section in the area of Services, The appointment was made in connection with organiza tional changes taking place in the office of education “to strengthen its services to the educational, professional and to the public,” according to S. M. Brownell, commissioner of education, U. S. Department of Health, Education and Welfare. Besides his new duties as di rector of the adult education sec tion of the office of education, he will continue to perform the du ties of assistant to the Commis sioner of Education, a position which he has held for for the past five years. NC Medical Auxiliary Gets National Honor KINSTON Members of the Woman’? Auxiliary to the old North State Medical Society were recently notified, in a letter from Woodrow Wirsig, Editor, Woman’s Home Companion, that their club ; had, for the second time, been named among the 250 Honor Clubs of America.
